Tara is an associate in the firm’s Dayton office and her practice strengths are in regulatory issues, technical and medical matters, transactional drafting, and civil litigation.
She received her J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Ohio University and a Master of Science Degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine. While earning her Master’s, Tara studied the current literature surrounding the origin and genotype of the neurological disorder known commonly as Andermann Syndrome and the effectiveness of drug and molecule passage through the blood-brain barrier. Prior to her legal practice, Tara spent seven years as a pharmaceutical chemist specializing in the areas of analytical testing, quality control, and safety assurance.
While attending law school, Tara served as a clerk to the Honorable Judge Steven Dankof of the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court. She also held several internships that provided experience in intellectual property and commercialization. She was an active member in the Intellectual Property Law Society, carrying out the duties of President and Vice President in consecutive years. In classes she earned the distinction of top of her class (the CALI Award) in Civil Trial Practice and Commercialization of Intellectual Property Capstone. She was also a distinguished member of the UDSL Ohio Attorney General Mock Trial Team and National Mock Trial Team.
Tara is a hard-working mother of two beautiful young children. When she’s not in the office you will find her spending time with her husband and kids and the family’s two Great Danes – preferably out in the fresh air.
